WordPress hosting in a Belgian data centre
WordPress runs on any hosting, but not every hosting is built for it. At WWW4 you get the things a WordPress site actually needs: the PHP version your theme and plugins require, object caching to relieve the database, and a daily backup for when an update goes wrong.
Everything runs in a Belgian data centre, with support from the people who manage the infrastructure themselves.
What's included specifically for WordPress
Redis object caching
WordPress requests the same data from the database on every page view. Object caching keeps those answers in memory, noticeably relieving the database on busy sites.
Jaan Performance Engine
Our own performance layer for WordPress, included with your hosting. No separate licence, no extra plugin for you to maintain.
One-click installation
Set up WordPress in a few clicks from the control panel, including the other common CMSs if you prefer those.
Both performance extras are included in the plan. How much faster your site gets depends entirely on your theme, plugins and content — we don't put a percentage on that.
You choose your own PHP version
This is the most underestimated cause of a broken WordPress site. An old theme or an unmaintained plugin breaks on a new PHP version; conversely, modern software refuses to run on an old one. At WWW4 you set the PHP version per site yourself and can switch back if an update disappoints.
The PHP memory limit also differs per plan — from 128 MB to 512 MB. Heavy page builders and WooCommerce shops with many products hit that limit sooner than a simple business site.
| Plan | SSD web space | PHP memory limit | Typical for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1.250 MB | 128 MB | Simple business site or blog |
| 2 | 2.500 MB | 256 MB | Site with page builder and imagery |
| 3 | 5.000 MB | 512 MB | Larger site or small webshop |
Included as standard
When is shared hosting no longer enough?
For most WordPress sites, shared hosting is more than enough. If your site grows into a busy webshop, you need your own server software or want root access, a managed VPS is the next step. You then move to your own environment without neighbours affecting your performance.
